As a photographer I am constantly aware of the conflict between observations and the idea of capturing them with a camera, for a year I documented others and realized I was documenting myself. This project is a personal story following the theme of discovery. Attracted by the idea of creating a social documentary defining a generation of lost sovereignty and economic decline I began to understand that by choosing to document how I am influential over my own photography. By responding to the variety of perspectives in my work to communicate the social and economic issues that have become a staple of my generation and to portray the humanity of my sitters. By photographing the lives, lifestyles, every day and spontaneity of my communities I am documenting the space we exist in at a time of rapid transition.
